95 Taurus sho needs a windshield seal, how hard can it be? it is leaking all over the place.
I replaced the windshield in my older f150 by myself, it broke a little because I had an over the shoulder helper.:thankyou: so I am just that much more experienced than someone that has not done one at all.:woo-hoo:
I found a seal online and can get another windshield from a regular Taurus if this one is already broken. what kind of glue do I need? I am aware of having to get all the old glue off before re-installation.

There is urethane for installing a windshield. I bought some in a caulking tube at a local Surplus City. I think the seal snaps on the edge of the glass with a channel, and the new seal has some sticky on it to keep it in place.
No sure if you can sucessfully replace the seal with the windshield intact, but go for it if you want!

I dont how tight you are for cash, but I will tell you a fresh windshield is a very nice thing have put in. Sheds water better and reduces glare from small chips and nicks that happen over the years.

Seeing as you will be trying to pull the windshield is a pretty high chance it will brake. (not saying its impossible but its a very hard thing to do) I would personally just buy a fresh one. I had mine replaced recently for around ~150 bucks.

kinda sorta trying to figure that out, how long will the car last at 230k miles. logic would tell you that a new windshield is best. The battery light has been on and this car is really uncomfortable to me.
I myself won't drive it because I want to save money on car insurance and would rather ride a bike, but the wheel well on the passenger side is really a pain. I have driven this car before and it has no problem with acceleration or anything like that.
