...please step forward.

I read here about using 409, Bon Ami, blah, yadda, etc...

Anyway I was intrigued and kinda interested in sprucing up the condition of my 95's full leather seats. So I tries the green stuff, purple stuff, and not liking all the scrubbing and concerned about the conditioning properties of these streight cleaners, I stops...

So I goes into my little shop and lo and behold there before my eyes is the best leather cleaner/conditioner EVER! BAR NONE! :thumb: I swear.

Now for the tease ;) , it isn't intended for leather, however it is a cleaner/conditioner, will be found in most home shops, easiest application, best results, unassailably most superior conditioning properties. Simply schmeer it on... wait 5~10 minutes and wipe it off with a modest amount of clean water, then dry with a clean cloth

What was it?

I was so pleased with this find I almost wet myself  , I will share this breakthrough with the forum but would like to see some of your guesses. More than likely one of you will guess it, some of you may be already using this product (but I doubt it).

There will be no prize except you'll learn how to restore the leather in your baby without any elbow grease. I'll check back tomorrow and the next few days to see if anyone even cares. If not I'll probably tell anyway but since no one cared no one will know, is this getting stupid yet? :bonk: How about now? :bonk:

Was it made by Leatherique? Because their system of leather care products is the BEST that you can get. In fact you can restore SHO leather seats to BETTER THAN NEW condition (that's because new SHO leather uses crappy leather paint and not real leather dye).

Ask jelloslug. He's probably getting tired of mentioning it...in fact it always sounds like his words are falling on deaf ears. He restored his seats with leatherique products. This is the stuff that Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, etc fans...rich folks that will only buy the best once they know what the best is, swear by for the leather of their rides.

Expensive stuff, but worth it for somebody with leather seats in restorable condition. That is, leather not ripped and torn to shreds.

It can't be leatherique. He said it wasn't mean to be used for leather. He said it was a cleaner/conditioner that will be found in most homes. How about hair shampoo and conditioner in one? ;) That's the only cleaner/conditioner that i can think of that most people will have!

And the Winner is....

GOOP! or other hand cleaners. Mild, quick, easy, and has stuff to make your hands & seats smell and feel great.

Someone said if it's too easy to clean your dirty leather your hurting the leather. I'm not buying that. I used this treatment, it was easy, and did a terrific job, read the contents, if it's good for your hands how could it not be good for leather??

Any other opinions?

The only reason I could see the harsh and easy leather treatments not harming the leather is the crappy factory applied leather paint is getting between the cleaner and the leather. The paint's taking the brunt of the abuse, lol!

Does it have an petroleum based cleaners in it? That's what I would worry about. Those type of cleaners will cause the leather fibers to rot (weaken) over time.

Like Gojo, not at all like Goof Off that stuff is totally harsh and would probably eat right through the leather in about a minute. It's good for loosening dry paint.

Hey anybody who wants to spend big $ on fancy leather treatments, be my guest, I used this, got great results, no drawbacks, I'm happy.

I read the contents (though I did not memorize it). No petroleum based stuff though.
