Will 215/45-R16 tires look funny?

I know our stock size on the GEN2's is 215/60, but would 45's be too strange looking if I lowered my car slightly?

Also, does anyone know anything about Kumho tires? Do they suck, rock, what?

Yes, they wouldn't look right. I'm running 225/50/16 and the gap is still large even when it's lowered.

Not only would it look goofy, but I think you'll find that 215/45/16's are not rated to support the SHO.

Is anyone familir with, Kumho tires, though? I'm considering them for price reasons, but don't know how they hold up quality wise.

I wasn't getting answers as quick as I liked, and I ended up ordering some. For the price, and the fact that tirerack.com didn't have much negative feed back on the tire I ordered, I decided it was worth the risk.

I'll post on here with my results once I get a good feel for them so it'll at least show up in the archives for future reference.

got em and love em....they are actually rated with a high lifetime as well...i've got 55's on mine with stock springs and i'm not fully digging the gap it's leaving me with on the front...i would get new springs but i think i'd rather spend the money on other mods first....

BTTT if you go to my pictures page you can see the gap you have with the 55's so just add a little more gap and you'll have it...

Just recently got a set of 225/55R16 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's and they're awesome. Have only broken traction in them once so far. They are ver comprable is size to the stock tires sixe of 215/60/R16 witha noticablebly stiffer sidewall. The tread pattern is beautiful and the sidewall looks slick. i got mine on Tirerack for $347 with shipping. i'd reccomend them to anyone. althought i think that the 50's may be a better choice with intrax springs. otherwise i would strongly suggest a camber kit to correct, and avoid rubbage. also i'd recomend the V rated kumhos as opposed to the W rated ones. the V rated ones have longer treadlife and are a little lighter. besides who here is gonna go above 149 on their street tires anyways?

i agree...you need to be thoughtful of the potential rubbing as mine rub when i'm in the parking deck making the really sharp turns ...or you could just never make the full axis of turning shrug
