A 0-5V input from the O2 sensor. Usually through a processor of some sort.

Me too.

Something to remember...don't get the polarity mixed up on the LM-1. It makes a diode on the board glow this pretty purple color and a putrid smelling smoke pour out the side of the box.

Don't ask me how I know.

The X-Cal 2 has a DIN input for the analog inputs. The output from a WBO2 goes to 2 wires of the X-Cal 2. Then the input can be logged as an analog signal in LiveLink.

I use a LM-1.

The X-cal 2 has a DIN plug for analog inputs. The wiring is on the SCT Flash site. Use the output from your WBO2 and plumb it into the X-Cal 2. It will register in LiveLink under Analog Inputs.

so, the xcal2 has to have a spgnal processor to use a wide band O2.
I can't plug the O2 sensor directly into it.

Yes something needs to process the signal to a 0-5v output. With the LC-1 u you have some software too to log without an Xcal 2 if you want. Plus you can set up the actual outputs, say to fine tune them. Or use the WBO2 as a NBO2 also.

The Xcal 2 has two analog inputs. One set up for 0-1V and the other for 0-5v. There are two others too but there is no documentation on them that I am aware of.

is there a cheeper alternative? i don't need the data loging in the WBO2 side, bc of the xcal2. it would be nice though to have a gauge, but that is not important.

All wide band O2 sensors require a signal processor, whether they are using a guage, or being interfaced with a data capture device.

There is a link to a off site group buy on the PLX with a gage for $225 somewhere on this SHOforum.
