why OEM case with konis?

why do you have to use the oem case with konis, why not an aftermarket strut case, isnt it essential the same thing? what would happen if it werent an oem case?

half-way there, I think.
The Koni's (atleast for the SHO) are inserts. You need the housing for the spring perch and the connection to the spindle/knuckle. An after market might work if the housing is the same as the OEM part.

I assume you ask because you do not have the OEM struts. If you need some let me know. I will cut them and have them ready for Koni installation.

Biker, you just missed a set that were already cut on ebay. Ian Fisher was selling them. Try talking to him, hes in New Jersey.
