Which one do I buy?

I am going to replace my water pump, and while I am at it I also want to replace the crank sensor and the cam sensor. My question is, are they all the same, or is one brand better that the other? I do know that there is a big price difference on a couple of them. Does that mean that the expensive one is better? Or am I worried about nothing? Please, any help would be appreciated.

I have run the rebuilt cardone waterpumps without problems, and I don't remember the brand of the crank position sensor. I think there is a 60k list on the shophenix project website that tells all what you need and the places to get them along with the partnumbers.

Cardone seems to be a proven remanned waterpump, probably the most popular choice of SHO owners. A couple of different places carry it, including RockAuto. I think Napa carries a SHO waterpump, too, but the brand name is different.

If you get the Camshaft Position Sensor and/or the Crankshaft Position Sensor from AutoZone, they are Wells brand parts, which are fine products.

NAPA's uses A1 cardone remans. Personally I install new ones since having a reman go bad on me after only 10K miles. New ones are well worth the money compared to the time to redo it again.

I use the NAPA CSS405 Cam sensor and the NAPA CSS408 Crank P sensor. The Crank Sensor is mounted under the front cover next to the crank, were as the cam sensor is mounted on the end of the rear cam above the power steering pump. Usually the seal is leaking under that sensor so make sure to have one handy just in case. Also a must is to replace the timing belt (NAPA #250248) and (CR seal #16041) crank seal to finish off the front 60k service while your in there.

I have had excellent service and performance from the many A1 Cardone remanufactured water pumps I have installed. Since I purchased them through a local auto parts store (O'Reilly), they came with a convenient lifetime warranty (when compared to having to ship old/new through the mail). With remans as with new parts, there is a chance that they may fail prematurely. I have replaced new Ford pumps in less than 40,000 miles and have had remans last over 100,000.

Upon close inspection, the sensors are made very similary. The Wells parts from AutoZone and the Borg-Warner parts from O'Reilly have both proven to be high quality components. As for price, you will have to check the most convenient sources in your area. After visiting the websites for both sources, here are the prices today.

i have a carquest CPS in my car, because at hte time i got a discount there so ended up paying 60 bucks for it. hasnt given me any problums. Although i dont know what brand name it is.
