Where to buy SHO parts

anyoine know where i can buy SHO parts...like rod bearings...belts...plug wires...and other parts..any autoparts stores carry SHO parts? Any info is much appresiated..thank you...

Anyways, about how much do rod bearings cost. What else should be replaced while I'm under there?

The Clevite rod bearings from NAPA (#CB1435P I think) are about $7/set. You need 6 sets.

You'll want to replace the oil pan gasket. You'll also might need to fabricate a new oil pickup tube gasket, as I think the part is obsolete.

Since you'll have the y-pipe off, it would be an excellent time to upgrade!

Oh, and you might want to replace the oil ;^)

You can get the Felpro V6 MTX Oil Pump Gasket Kit (Called Timing Cover Set) - includes oil pump-to-block gasket, oil pickup gasket, front oil pan seal, and front main seal. Obsolete from Ford, but available from Felpro.

FYI, the FelPro kit's front crank seal has been oversized & damaged on 3 of my attempts so far vs. the normal smooth installation of the E9DZ-6700-B Ford crank seal. Since the front pan seal is the only one included, and you pull the whole pan off, I don't see the benefit of the extra pieces (other than the oil pump & pickup tube gaskets themselves). You still have to / should get the rear pan seal as well.

Just an opinion, of course.

I remember when the guy first came up to my garage with the Fel-pro "timing cover set" package. I was like, "GIMME THAT!", and promptly emailed Josh T the number when I saw what was inside. Fred beams...

Try the National 710220 part for the front main crankshaft seal as it was the OEM part and is a better fit. Look here for some common parts and their lowest cost sources.
