Hey everyone, I've been scouring these forums trying to find an answer to this question and can't seem to find a specific one. If I'm stupid and missing something, feel free to link in that thread.
I'm the proud owner of a 2011 Taurus SHO "Big Red" and she finally needs some car parts! First up are wheels, I'm looking at a set of Rotiform KSR's, but can't decide between running the 20x8.5 or a 20x9.5. I know that running a 255 tire on an 8.5 inch wheel is less than ideal, but I've heard conflicting answers on whether a 9.5 will rub up front, particularly when lowered. I'm looking at running a 255/40/R20 tire, which is the same overall diameter as the 255/45/R19's that came with the car. Right now I am at stock ride height, but the car will eventually be riding on BC Racing coilovers. Nothing stupid low, but enough to get rid of a good bit of wheel gap and make it look less like a grandpa car.
Running a staggered stance is not really an option for me, it has no real benefit with an AWD car, and makes tire rotations impossible.
Appreciate any and all help, I've got a roadtrip coming up at the end of March and would love to have some new shoes on her by then!
