what's this sensor for?

what is the sensor for that's mounted directly in the middle on top of radiator support just below the plastic cover that runs onlong top of radiator. it's held on with 4 bolts and has written on it to face foward?

thats your air bag impact sensor, lets your airbag know when to go off so to say.
