I got myself a Mark VIII 80mm MAF. As I understand it, there are a couple of ways to install it.

One is to get an adapter plate to go on the flanged end. This seems to be the easiest, but I don't know where to get the adapter. I posted at the classifieds last week but no one has replied as to where I can get one.

The other option is to machine off the square corners of the ******, add some sort of extension and buy some other hoses. This seems to be more work than I want to mess with.

So what have you guys with the Mark VIII MAF done to install yours? I should be getting my LPM back from Ted B. today or tommorrow so I would like to install ASAP!!!

I think someone posted on topica a while back about this. They just cut a space in the stock airbox and then sealed the hole with some silicone cement. Didn't look too greast but it go the job done.

Well I decided to go the adapter route. Finally found someone who sells them, http://www.cartech.net. I have received my LPM back from Ted B. All ready to go as soon as I get my adapter plate, which should be today.

My question is which MAF sensor do I use? The one that came with the Mark VIII MAF or the one on the stock 55mm MAF?

I would appreciate your help in that I would like to install this weekend.

I would use the one from the 55 maf. You can be sure that they will be able to "talk" to each other since you know they will be speaking "shoese"
