weird brown stuff ??

Well I have fixed almsot everything on my car. I get a back whooshin noice from the belt side :/ check into that later. I seem to be leaking brown goo. Not oil. It is thick and light brown. seems to be dropping from the back towards the firewall near the belts. I cant think of naythign that looks like it. Ill try and get a picture lol. looks like a pipe of ****. neways onyl thing i think is when putitn my valve covers on I used some dark brown sealend stuff. M\aybe iI put to much and when I tightened it up it is gettin hot and burning off ? ANY IDEAS ?

Check your CV boots. Sounds like one has a hole or tear in it. Address is immediately. CV grease hitting hot cats has burned several SHOs to the ground.

Give me a call tomorrow afternoon(In other words, after 12:00 PM) and I'll explain it to ya. ;) If I don't answer, call back till I do, I'm still asleep. You know the drill! I should have said something about the brown goo when you told me about it. I didn't even think about a cv joint. The grease in the CV's is a dark brown, thick(a lot thicker than motor oil) and can seriously hurt the car, as Chris already said. Talk to you tomorrow!
