While traveling on the highway, i've noticed if I exceed 70mph my dash starts to vibrate. I can feel it in my seat and the floor panel. would my wheels not being balanced cause this?

Balance is the first thing to check, but the vibration and shaking dash can also be caused by poorly worn tires. Feel the inner edges of your tires for cupping or scalloping. I wore two sets of tires funny on my '90, and balancing and alignments never fixed the problem.

Finally, Doug Lewis in Atlanta explained this was caused by improper camber settings on the front wheels. Once the spot welds on the alignment plates were drilled out and the camber set to his specs, the problems disappeared. I'm now at the end of a set of Michelin Pilots, and they're worn down perfectly evenly, no shakes.

The tires are fairly new, I bought them off of 94shoboy about 6 months ago. I'm going to take it to NTB one day and have them balance em to see if that helps, thanks though :)

being that the vibration is in the seat and dash and not really in the steering wheel then it in the rear tires... If the steering wheel has a bad shake but not alot in the seat then its in the front tires... just thought i would let you know so you could have them do the balance on the rear tires first.. drive the car and if it didnt help then do the front... might save you a couple of buck in the process..
