Welcome to the forum. thumb

The cheapest route would be the KYB GR2s can be purchased from $200 or $220 i forget at tirerack scroll to bottom of the page and you should find their ad,if you click there and purchase they will send a little to the forum. wink

The above suggestion is not the best just the cheapest and would go well with Eibachs or Intrax springs that can be had for an extra $200.

Tokico and Koni Struts are the prime brands for this car and will cost you anywhere from $400 to close to $600.

I have the Tokico/Intrax combo on my 93 ATX. I've also done pretty much everything else I can do with the suspension. When these struts die, I will be getting the Koni's. The Tokico struts are good, and would be great with stock or Eibach springs. They just don't have the support that my car requires.

well i think my probs are just loose struts. but when i get the money i will probably upgrade to either a fully adjustable coilovers or a adjustable strut setup. have to get a little spot of rust cured before the winter.

also is there a reason that a 95 jetta pulled on me from 50 to 80. my guess is it was the jump that he had b/c my tranny was slipping.(auto i believe it needs a flush) but after 80 i pulled him pretty bad.

defently flush the trans. and put on a transmission fluid cooler. but getting a LPM from ted or sho shop will help speed up the shifts on the atx which should help with you get up to speed quicker.

is it a faster car. no mods that i could tell from. i thought that those were pretty slow. my girlfriend has a passat with the vr6 in it and it feels really slow. where as my sho feels fast after it catches gear. i was just wondering if they were faster in that area b/c after his jump i realed him in.

Well a 95 Jetta with a VR6 and a 5spd can be made EXTREMELY fast. They make any number of Turbo/Supercharger kits for that car as well as a whole slew of bolt-ons. I wouldnt underestimate those cars. Stock for Stock, though, you should be able to beat them pretty good from a stop or from a roll.
