The one with a **** in the valve cover gasket on the one end is for the front bank, that seals the water pump drive from the front intake cam.

Thanks. Figured it out during install. The rear bank is about as bad as the v6 SHO as far as working room goes.

The heat on the rear bank must be crazy. A huge difference in condition of the seals. The back were hard and cracked. The front still had some pliability. Both were installed at the same time during a cam weld with the previous owner years ago.

For working room in the back if you need it remove the cowling and wiper motor - then there is gobs of room. Remember with a different cowl the intec 4.6 V8 fits in there in the Continental.

if u need gaskets they are hard to find i was talking to Train. Acording to him the stock ones can be "reanimated" by soaking them in some sort of solution. In the end though Mr. Gasket can be used it stands up vary well to pressure. I am trying to get the stock ones and go to a place here in town that can remake them. But im still waiting on getting the stock gaskets, when i do ill let all you know they should be able to produce them at a decent price.

You talking about head gaskets?

My rear valve cover gaskets were hard and cracked. I got new valve cover gaskets from an online dealer.

Like the above post, I just purchased new valve cover gaskets, spark plug tube gaskets, and the gasket that goes under the single bolt in the middle of each valve cover. You have to purchase each seperately. I spent about $130ish myself.

Look up the part numbers and you will find them in the system

Valve cover gasket F6DZ6584BA (1)
Valve cover gasket F6DZ6584CA (1)
Coil "O" Rings F6DZ6F048AA (8)
Small center "O" Ring F6DZ6F048BA (2)
