Does anyone know if the Felpro Gasket Set VS50378R for Valve Covers also has the Spark Plug Well Gaskets? Also will I need any other gaskets to fix my Plug Well leak?

I have it written down at home. My local Autozone called another store & they opened the package - cover gaskets & plug well seals. However, I can't confirm the p/n until I get home from work. Sorry.

Cost was $85 range.

The Autozone in my town charged me $71.99. Two valve cover gaskets and 6 plug well seals.

Thanks guys! I am pretty sure we are talking about the same gasket set. The price I was quoted was also $71.99. I still need to know if I will need anyother gaskets. I think I remeber in some other post a mention of a plenum gasket. Do I need that also?

Thanks

The plenum gasket is metal and can be reused many times.Usually,if the black coating is worn off,it should be replaced.Maybe you can use some rtv on it instead?I think it`s part of the whole upper intake set,but don`t quote me on that.I need the butterfly gaskets to put my horns back in,but won`t spend the cash for the whole set.

The Fel-Pro VS50378R set will take care of the oil leaks at the plug wells and the valve cover seals. AutoZone.com ($71.99) is the source for these. I have heard that the stores have not been able to get them, but that would be more convenient. The intake manifold-to-head metal shim gaskets, E9DZ-9439-A (2 required), can be bought separately from FordPartsOnline.com for $12.14+s&h or FordPartsNetwork.com for $12.49+s&h.

Yeah, my bad, I was going from memory.

As always, Mr. Patterson is correct:

"Autozone
VS50378R
$71.99 - 3.0 / 3.2
Valve Cover & Grommets

Intake Manifold Set - $45"

So here was an interesting twist:

I went back to the Autozone that told me they were available from another local A-Zone tonight. Now, it seems they're out of stock, and they can't even special order them anymore. Hmmm.

Went to Autozone.com, and the cam cover set is available at the same price, but the intake manifold set is not available online (but seems to be in the stores according to the website).

RockAuto had both sets listed, 5 day delivery, at a higher price ($90+ & $50+ vs. $72 & $45). Hmmm.

If you but them in-store open it up to verify the plug seals are in there. I bought the fel-pro set last summer and the plug well gaskets were missing. I know this isn't typical but it's always better than getting jammed up 1/2 into the project. wink
