Hello. I have a 1999 SHO that is having the low coolant lite come on . The coolant resivoir is full, so I am looking for anyone who might have had the same issue. I also have the door ajar, with the interior lites on. Any takers on these two items? Thanks for looking.

The low coolant light is usually the sensor in the overflow reservoir gone bad or come loose. There used to be a cheap replacement part (entire reservoir and sensor) to be had on ebay. I haven't seen one in a while. If you come across more than one let me know, as I am in need of one also.

On the door ajar issue spray some type of lubricant on the door hatches and anything else that moves on the door. That would happen to me till I did this.

Thanks guys for the responses. I was wondering if the sensor in the tank was going away. I will search it out. And thanks also for the door ajar answer. I wonder what all is in the dar jam on the drivers side inwhere the wires go in? Could there be a switch some where in there? I live in Goshen. The car is black/tan interior. The cams are now welded, and I have removed the third cat just recently when the flex started leaking. I will be getting the computer programmer from the guy in the Atlanta area some time in the near future. We bought the car in March of this year and it is about to turn 100k on the odometer. I really like this car. Our kids have '93 (3.0,5spd) and a '94 (3.2 auto, currently going to be leaving for a new car. Thanks again for the responses.

Here 'ya go Lou: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7977884853

The other solution is just to unplug the connector from the sensor at the bottom of the reservoir tank. The sensor is not available separately, and for about $36 shipped, that eBay tank is a great solution.

For the door ajar, see this thread (specifically my reply): http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=53813

Yes there are switches in the doors that cause the light to come on. I replaced one of mine and will probably do the other as well.

The great thing is sometimes it doesn't matter how new the switch is, they still tend to fail. It happens in Mustangs and other vehicles too. Very safe at night with the interior lights on with no way to shut them off. Quality is job 1, right Ford? Maybe just staying out of bankruptcy is job 1 these days.

Thanks again guys. It pays to know where to go for answers. i want to thank my son (startthesho) for telling me to go to this site. I have looked at the pictures and am I correct when I see a flat hinge plate with these switches attached? I see on mine a round barrel looking thing. Is the switch in there?

Ok, I got it!!! Excuse my blindness, I am looking at the front hinges for this switch. Sprayed the heck out of it w/WD and it fixed it. Thanks for all the input and esp. the pictures. I owe you all one if ever I can.
