I am in the process of doing that to mine right now since my piece is just sitting. I do some every now and then

I remember reading somewhere recently it was determined that P&P-ing the intake didn't yield any significant results. What type of gains are you seeing? Do you guys have any dyno charts to show the results? I'm very interested, thank you.

We dont have dyno charts and are waitin on those, might be a bit though. I do know V8s with the BBBs showed very good gains.

LOUDSHO92,
Can the stage two be done, but butterflies be left in? Could larger butterfly plates be obtained? More of a cold start scenario thought behind this question. Thanks

I'd be leery of that picture of the TR SHO on your website if you didn't get permission...

I like Paul Nimz's approach of removing every part of the butterflies too. The square inches of gain are hard to argue with.

Yes, very interesting.

There used to be stuff around you could look up here and on V8sho.com about porting and such, which tended to indicate not a lot of results from such actions, but I do not know if it is still around. I think it was dyno based results, but it has been long enough ago that I do not remember for sure. Never hurts when people try these things again, perhaps a bit differently, to see if they can do better.

I am asking about how many millimeters the BBB's are

I would be surprised if that information gets released.

The "stage 2" lower is not the same as a BBB. The butterflies are completly removed, and the actual ports are enlarged about 1.5mm, as well as the bridge seperating the two is knife edged so the flow has a smoother transition. So far, there will be no way to leave the butterflies in, as I cannot find a company who would make the plates for me at a reasonable cost in reasonable quantities (100 was the smallest order they would make and with all due respect to the v8sho community, i doubt that many will be interested to use even 80 of those 100) Any other questions feel free to post here or PM and I will do my absolute best to answer. I work with CPS, the company that does the porting for SHOBros.

Thanks for the info and the aftermarket option. We all know we are short on those. Keep up the good work. Let us know as soon as you get some dyno numbers on that port job!

Steve, Matt included the link of my findings on the porting and the BBBS.

Im interested in seeing thier results after they do some dyno testing.

For dyno numbers, the car that we had testing them just suffered a catastrophic failure..... either his piston hit his spark plug or his rings let go or his valve did something.... either way it goes its not good. If someone wants to do this and would do a dyno before, i will pay 50 dollars (should be more than enough for a dyno run and the trouble) to go get it dyno'd after. PM for details please!
