i might buy a v8 sho but im wondering how many miles u can expect out of the motor if it is well maintained?

I am at about 160K, zero problems. Got to get the cam sprokets welded, though, if they are not already when you get the car.

One guy I know a guy in IL that has a Black 98 189k miles no welds

It won't be this low for long. I bought it in June with 37,300 on it. About 1200 was put on in the drive home from Detroit (38,500 when I pulled into Wichita). The rest is all in town and a couple short trips out of town. Yeah, I drive alot...

Yup. My '98 has about 157K and runs the same as it always has, though I do find that if I have had to do a lot of short stop stuff for a bit, clearing the computer out by unplugging the battery for a half hour restores it to its best performance.
Now that I have bought another International Star down in Victoria, to go with the one I have up here in Ladysmith only 5 minutes away, I will be back to putting miles on her again more quickly than over the last year or so. I will be going down there at least once a week, and perhaps half the year, twice a week, so at 200+ a trip, the mileage will start ticking up again soon.
