Unfortunately, removing the engine cover will make the DI fuel pump under the hood VERY audible, making the car sound like a diesel.
Instead of cutting the sides down on the dipstick just pull that stupid plastic cover off.
Since the '10 has been introduced to the world, it seems the main point everyone has had to say about the car was "the first thing I'm going to do is pull the plastic cover off" and NO ONE is doing it. Someone do it already!
It simply snaps on and off - no bolts, screws, nuts. I saw a Ford Engineer do it at the convention.
TBH, there are tons of non-stock stuff for cars that isn't an upgrade... Taking a walk down the ricer section of Pep Boys proves this.Well that is the different's between you and I. I say there upgrade's because they are not stock.
