Ordered a new under engine cover from Ford because a few of the fasteners had were gone and you can't just buy the fasteners. Anyways, the cover on my 10 is sealed, no holes in it. The one I bought has holes in it and like a sheetmetal air director on the inside. Wondering if this is an update? I checked with my dealer, that is the part#. If I look online, the part# is actually for a non turbo 3.7 taurus, MKS, or MKT. Taurus doesn't have the 3.7. Dealer is confused and so am I. Torrie's site shows one for the turbo car, none for the non-turbo. What the **** do I have?

Sounds like an updated cover to me. When you get the new one, post a pic of both sides of each one and post 'em. It says not to run the car without the cover on but I bet it helps when there is airflow under the car keeping temps down.

I will definetely take some and post em up. Basically where the scoops were sealed before, there are now openings and even a plenum type scoop to direct the air to something under there. Not sure yet, haven't installed it. I'm thinking of keeping the sealed one for winters and possibly using this one during the summer months. Those scoops will just fill up with snow around here and I'll possibly lose those cam fasteners that I replaced the shield for to begin with.

Without pics it sounds like the cover for an early build new Explorer. The Explorer had duct work routing air to the alternator. For some reason the later builds don't have the covers at all anymore.

Maybe Rick could see if the 2013 SHO uses this newer cover and it's updated for our cars.

The 2010 Bottom cover on my EB Flex has 2 NASA style ducts to route air towards the cats. Thought this was the way all were designed. Also has some insulation on it to protect it from excessive heat.

Those ducts are bigger than mine. Assuming that you are showing us your original bottom cover that has no ducts and the new one with ducts that you just purchased.

Will be changing oil soon... will take a pix then.

That is exactly what I'm showing you. I don't want to put something on there that isn't the correct part. Anybody who can check there newer shos and let me know, I would appreciate it.

Guess what? I go to install my new shield today, and I'm missing to of the clips that are in the frame that the cam lock nuts screw into! WTF? Now I suppose they won't warranty those either. Unbelievable!

It looks like the tray he bought is missing the ducting on the inside. Or it's an updated piece that just doesn't have them.

Whats the part number on the new part? That will help tell you...
