Dreaded *** hole strikes. Couldn't miss it and got it with both right sdie wheels. Bent the inside of the right rear, tire went flat before I could safely get off the road. Wheel is on the way to get straightened but the tire is dead meat. So, $130 for the rim job, $266 for new tire. Da$% state roads anyway. Bummer!

Sorry to hear that Bob. The roads this year seem worse than ever with many holes and cracks -- Hard to miss 'em all.

Hope your luck improves.

That sucks, you can't get the city/state to pay for the damages?

On the other hand, not a bad price for a rim job :p

I can sympathize, that's when I found out there was a can of fix a flat and an air compressor in the hole where a spare tire should have been. The wrecker bill was paid by Ford though.

Can you fit a spare in there and carry one anyway?
Even if it's a doughnut, it won't leave you stranded somewhere.

I couldn't agree more!!! It's funny because there always seems to be road construction here in Michigan and the roads are getting sh*#$#r. Doesnt' really make sense.

Don't forget the tar that needs to be clayed almost weekly. It seems like those guys know where im driving almost every day and lay out a fresh batch for me to run over.

Yeah there is room and I will put one there if they come to their senses and replace the flaking chrome tail light bezels if not I'll trade it for a car that the company stands behind what they sell.

I don't think its Ford its your dealer. I had 2 tiny spots where the chrome pealed on mine, my service guy at the dealer didn't hesitate to order all four tail lights.

Agreed. BlueOval needs to find another dealer. Seems his present one isn't too sympathetic.

The dealer took the photos and sent them in, they say FORD refuses to accept the claim. I know the general manager there well enough to believe that to be the case.

That's starting here in Pennsylvania too. I'm starting to see a lot of "Road To Be Tarred And Chipped Next Week" signs. I'm not looking forward to the tar and hearing the loose stones clinking of the car. :frown:

Got the rim back Tuesday. They did a super job on it. Looks better than new for the money. I'm thinking of taking the one with curb rash in now. Of course driving on the flat until I could get to the side of the road broke the TPM sensor. All total the rim/tire/sensor/programming was about $600. Drats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will be going in the TSB 11-5-6 the 20th when my favorite tech gets back from vacation.
Along with a few other issues. Back discs need resurfaced as they are grooved, front right brake noisy when stopping in reverse.

Seems a little on the expensive side for reprogramming. So who repaired the rim for you?
