What Size Tweeters...

Does anyone know what size the tweeters are so I can replace them with something a little better. Any suggestions out there?

The tweeter were around 2" IIRC, I tore mine apart to use the tweeter mag. for a base. Just about any after market tweeter will fit if you tear the tweeter apart, there are other ways to do it I am sure but it was the easiest way that I have found.

Stock Tweet replaced with Infinity Kappa

So if I was looking to replace the factory ones without any modifications, would I be looking to get 2" tweeters?

ahhhh, now I understand why you had to modify (gut the inside of the factory tweeter). I guess I may have to use the same method. Thanks for the info. :thumb:

No problem I looked for about 6 months for suitable replacements and never found anything. Modification was the only way I found to get a good sound. Good luck :thumb:

There is a diffrence between Tweeters but it isnt as wide spread as the speaker market is. Just about any tweeters for $40 will have a better sound than the stock tweeters. I would suggest a mid-priced tweeter for you if you are just planning on improving the sound a little. Higher end tweeters require a cross-over and unless you are planning on replacing all of your speakers and running them off a aftermarket amp I wouldnt go that route. That is just MY suggestion some people might not agree, but there ya have it. Good luck :thumb:
