For everyone changing wheels, are you transferring the tpms over to the new wheel, or replacing them? Are they the strap on type, or the valve stem type?

Only 2010's, and a few handful of 2011's have the banded style TPMS.

1st quarter of the 2011 model year and up, FMC switched over to the valve stem style sensors.

Thanks. I've seen sensors and a sync tool on some tire sites. Does the tool work, or do you still need to go to Ford and have them synced?

I did a set of winter wheels two years ago for my 2016 - got new TPMS sensors direct from Ford parts department, and didn't have to do anything to make them work.

Of course, the Ford sensors were like $76/each with a 15% discount, so to each his own ;)

Got my wheels from discount tire as a package mounted and balanced with new sensors. They were $25 a price IIRC. I bought the training tool but didn’t need it they synced up somehow in there own.

Anyone on here running Late model Mustang wheels? I was looking at some on American Muscle that I think should fit.
