So, the tie rod end is in my hand.. if I can move the ball joint inside of it around, does that mean I need to replace it? It does take a small effort to move it, it's not like I can flick it and it moves or anything.

This is my first time looking at the tie rod end... so thanks for any suggestions!

If its snug, its okay. If you can wiggle the ball inside the socket, then its bad.
