Throttlebody cleaning questions

My car is throwing the code 327. I know the code has to do with the egr system. I want to remove the throttle body and clean it out out while also cleaning the 2 holes for the egr behind the TB. Will it be ok to clean the inside of the TB with Brakleen? I am all out of carb cleaner but have 4 cans of this brake cleaner laying around. Also will i have to replace the TB gasket? Sorry to ask these questions but I have searched and found nothing to help me.

Brake cleaner wont hurt the TB. I have used it to clean mine before with fantastic results. However I have never sprayed brake cleaner in the TB while the engine was running, only to clean the build-up off.

The Brakleen will not be spayed into the motor at all. I will be pulling the TB off the car. Thank you for your response.

Honestly... to clean the EGR ports... I've had to dissasemble the intake and run in thru the parts washer. A peice of coat hanger, some wire, and some scotch brite pads will all be your friends for cleaning that out.
