My throttle peddle seems to stick when first applying pressure, it will then click past what ever is binding and then the peddle operates smoothly. Any ideas?

First idea is to check the throttle plate for crud build up and clean that out, second maybe a kink in the throttle cable. I'd maybe put a little lubricant on it. After that floor mat in the way, and last anything attaching to the gas pedal.

Thanks, I only notice it while driving, It doesn't feel like it's sticking when inspecting by hand at either end. The cable appears to be in good shape, nothing seems bent, dirty or out of place, and the floor mat is clear.

I'll track down the throttle plate and give it a good cleaning, and try lubing the cable this evening,

Gunk on the throttle body butterfly used to really get gummed up on my GenIII often. I'd get that stuck throttle feeling from a stop when it's closed and trying to open. Once open it worked fine. Pull that intake hose/tube off and get a look maybe feel with your finger.

Also, if you monkey with the idle screw on the throttle body, it can allow the throttle to close too tight, and it will have a sticky feel. Loosen the lock nut and screw that in a half-turn.
