I have a 2012 and have been doing a lot of reading up on stuff and would just like to get some more thoughts specific to my questions. Looking at going with Livernois for tuning but have a friend that personally was not pleased with their tunes. He told me he felt like the throttle response was off...he said it felt like it was either all or nothing so I wanted to know if anyone else has had any experience like this. When getting the tuner, obviously getting the 3 bar and will also do the plugs since it’s time for them in the car. Also looking at the catch can from them...I see from their intro thread about it that it is mounted inline of the rear valve cover but I have seen other systems inline from the
PCV to the intake on the front. Can theirs be installed this way or it has to go on the rear? Thanks for any input...still learning with this car.

There are some differences in tuning between the 2010-2012 models and 2013+ models. I had Livernois tunes on my 2010 which would be very similar to your 2012. Their tunes were excellent. Great progressive throttle response, excellent performance, vastly improved transmission behavior, good fuel economy and ZERO negatives. I think most others with 2010-2012s would agree.

I can't help your with the catch can since I never had one.

I ran their tune for about 70K miles on my 2011. Butt dyno says it pulled harder than my 2015, but you know how that goes. I also ran unleashed on that car for a few thousand miles, it was slightly quicker according to data logs but didn't feel any different.

I have a 2010, and I cosign Bruce. And if you would prefer less/more throttle tip in, shift firmness, etc; LMS will revise the tune and email it to you. (Or walk in if you're local)

Also, a CAI, or a Drop in performance filter makes a world of difference in throttle response.

I agree with the above! My DD tune is the LMS 93+X race tune on my '12 MKS. Couldn't be happier and throttle response is perfect for me. Been tuned the last 2.5 years and 38k miles.

Thanks for your interest in our products! We actually have had nothing but great responses on the 2010-2012 taurus sho tunes. We are actually the leaders in the ecoboost community holding the record for the fastest taurus sho! If you find you need an adjustment with our tunes as well we do not charge you for each and every update like most companies do out there, if you add products down the line such as a thermostat, downpipes ro a 3 bar we do not charge you for the updates! :)
