Hey SHO world...I'm new to the scene, I'm used to working on Chevy vehicles..Any i know where my thermostat is located on the engine 3.0l mtx but how hard is it to change it. I'm used to my thermostats being on top of the manifold..

It is located under the throttle body. Just follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, it will lead you to it.

You must remove the t-stat housing in order to get the t-stat out. And removing the intake hose, MAF, and airbox lid helps to provide a bit more room to work.

Just be careful reinstalling the t-stat housing, it is brittle, and overtorquing will break it easily.

yeah our Tstat's are on the "back" of our motors......

:nut:
i wouldnt torque them to much over 10ft lbs...
the tstat comes with an o ring, that slips on the outside of the tstat.. make sure it has that ring.... also, the sho's tstat has a jiggle valve... its a little hole in the tstat housing that alows air to bleed out of themotor. It should have a little "ball" type piece of metal in the hole, that jiggles...
stock ststat rating is 192* or 195* one of the 2... in the summer i drop down to a 185*... but im in texas....
