As you may or may not know, I have a 1994 MTX and I need to know a few things.

I want to put another spoiler on my car other then the small sedan spoiler. Something that's a little higher but not too big that i'd fly away. Nothing aluminum.

Can anyone help me with the dimenstion's of the mounting holes for the original spoiler and is there an aftermarket/from another car spoiler that will fit in those mounting holes or am i going to have to modify it to work?

Comments and Suggestion's welcomed!

Matt

I think(although i could be wrong...)that the only ones that will fit are universal ones, which are usually very ricer looking

well today i looked at some spoilers... universal ones at that. Yes most of them are the airplane wing, but there were a few that were actually fiberglass and not outragously high. I'm going to look into it further, see if i can find something decent.

I'm not sure, but i think i am going to have to fill in the old mounting holes to do the new spoiler if there even is any. (i'm almost sure there is).

Stock spoiler looks great.

They got it right the first time with the stock spoiler no need for another, just my opinion.

instead of filling in the holes you could find a taurus or sable in a junkyard without a spoiler and use that trunk lid as a starting point.

Not to hijack this thread, but I just bought a 92 that has a custom spoiler. It is very fitting for the car/trunklid and I'll post pics later tonight. In fact it's for sale as the car is being parted :D

Oh and the pics of the white 91 with the fiero GT spoiler is mine ;) I have since shaved the pedastals down a bit and the entire car has a whole new look. Pics coming soon.

There was someone who submitted their car for COTM some time ago (not this last time around) who had a really cool spoiler, it was a maroon SHO but I don't remember who....

I love it. You wouldn't happen to know what car it's from or maybe where it came from?

I really would buy it, but for one... i'm broke until i get the rest of my car up to par... and i'd have to sand/prime/paint it to match my red which is more money i dont have.

i just wanted to know where it came from for maybe future reference... so if anyone knows... please help :D

Thanks anyway

I've got a spoiler laying around kinda like that, but it's higher. It was originally off the Contour, but looked like *** so I yanked it off. It's sitting in the garage collecting dust right now.
