Pep boys or Autozone if I recall: about 2.50 a bottle.....similar products are:

Motor Medic
Motor Honey
Smoke Out
No-Smoke
Smoke BeGone
Puff Be Gone

Some of the above come with stop leak additives as well and are Titled as such:

No-Smoke with Stop Leak.

They are all pretty much the same, thick crap you add to your oil which coats everything to keep the leaks down.

I have a less than well treated 92 Crown Victoria ex-police car that has 150,000 miles on it. Bad valve guide seals or some other such malody makes it bellow smoke after I give it the gas from a stoplight. Runs fine otherwise, smoke is just slightly embarassing. Being skeptical of the product I added it per the directions and the smoke went away considerably. You need to add it at every oil change and I figure if it works, it saves me the hassle and moola of doing a darn thing to the car. Figure valve guide seals alone is about a $100-200 repair bill. At 2.50 a bottle , I can go for 75 oil changes and still break even. Thats another 15,0000 miles which is probably not in this car's future, so Im not worried. HOWEVER: this is my beater car that I bought 5 years ago with 99,000 miles on it and paid a whoppin 2500 bucks for. If my SHO ever needs any NO Smoke product due to my misuse or lack of care, you all have my permission to hang me to the nearest tree by my nuts and take turns kicking me in the face.

I think its a good comprimise.. Good value and good protection. I dont see the advantage in paying $24 for 6 quarts of mobil 1 when 6 quarts of valvoline durablend costs $14.. If you changing your oil around every 3k then there would be absolutly no problem.. And there certainly wouldnt be any problem with seals leaking..

If thats your question..

Well, I tried the stop leak/no smoke stuff, but not because of MY misuse or lack of care. My SHO obviously has been in a few abusive relationships, and I'm trying my best to rehabilitate it. So leave my nuts alone.

With out refering to your nuts any more, I know what you mean. Apologies if I offended...Im sure everyone on this board treats their SHO with complete respect whether we floor it to 6 grand every time we change lanes or not, we still make sure she gets what she needs to operate effectively.

You like myself have had a few cars that we came into that others have beat like a red headed kids at Kmart then starved them of the precious fluids SHO's need to survive. I think the very fact that people come to this board for guidance shows a rarely found respect for the car overall. NO SMOKE or not, we all nurse em if the need it.

One of my biggest heart breaks is when you see a guy/gal with a SHO or other nice car and they treat it very poorly (Mice in trunk, half full milk bottles in the back seat, oil dipped engines, and the like. I know this is america and we can do what we want to our cars, but it is sad that folks dont take pride in their rides like us. All of you guys are part of the brotherhood of SHO's and I dont want to dis anyone seeking guidance. The NUTS comment was pertaining to my actions not yours. Sorry if offense was takin, though by the smiley face in the post I can see you were only kidding. By reading the dedicated responses to folks in need on this board, I can see that we would all give our left nut to make sure the advice people get helps them solve the problems they have.

Is there a 60k maintenance be gone?

and yes, I got it, however, I am a big email communicator and sometimes you never can tell the tone of a message or who the sensitive ones are and whether they are ****** or not.

Just making sure the Covey Training is being put to good use.
