Hey, I am the owner of a 1994 Ford Taurus GL, want to put a body kit on it, so i was wondering if the two models were identicle (SHO & GL)?? so that if a kit fits a SHO, it'll fit the GL!
Thanks
Also, any other car models that would work with the GL would be great! (other than the mercury sable)

There is no body kit. Some have fit other body kits from other cars on the SHO. Also the SHO and the GL use differnt headlights. The SHO uses the Sable headlights as well as a pair of "fishtanks". There is a front bumper cover offered by Stillen. Here is a link Stillen Bumper Cover

Why would he be kidding? Because it's not a SHO, it's not worth modding? I'm sure we've all heard a bunch from others saying "why mod a SHO, it's not a Mustang..."

LoudSHO92 is right; the only Gen2 non-SHO kit that was ever on the market was the Stillen kit that he referred to in his link. And even so, the full kit was meant for the wagon  so you only have the front fascia and the side skirts available to you. For the rear, the most common solution is to take a SHO rear bumper (OMG not SHO parts! ), and fill in the SHO lettering as not to fake the funk, since you're not really driving a SHO.

For more information on ideas about mods for your GL, head over to the forums at the TCCA ( http://www.taurusclub.com ). They're more geared towards the non-SHO community, and would be a much better resource for your needs.

:***:  j/k at least you're not labeling your car to be an SHO. .... or are you? :squint:

He's not... it doenst say SHO on it anywhere, though it has been mistaken for one. I have to agree with past comments I've heard though, that his car is one of the best looking Taurus' out there... I love following him (I DO drive a Honduh) because the view never gets old.
