Tackling some body work.

So ever since ive had my SHO theres been some body work that needs to be done. Looks like the car spun and hit something. The quarter has a sizable dent right in the middle and theres more damage around the tail light but inbetween the fender looks to be straight. It was repaired but definately not correctly. I know the best thing would be to weld in a new quarter panel but i dont have the money or resources to do that. Im going to try and hammer the panel as straight as i can and the use filler to make the panel perfectly straight. Obviously not as much as whoever did the gaf repair used. Its gotta be around 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick in places.

So heres my question. What kind of bondo should i use. I worked in a body shop before and helped out with some body work ( i mainly did mechanical repairs) so i have some experience. Let me know what you think i should do. Heres some pics of the damage from the outside. Ill post more up tomorrow of what it looks like with the bondo off.

That dent looks too severe to be using mainly bondo, if possible you need to get behind it and pop it out. Or use a slide hammer and pull that dent up. As far as brand, dont use "bondo" Evercoat Rage is a great filler...

looks like that hit in the fender was already filled?, if so remove the old filler and like biker889 said either get behind it and bang it out or use a dent puller

Well i started doing the body work today. My friend nick decided to help me out. I started off by picking some of the loose bondo off with a flat head and a hammer then used a grinder to get the rest off. Yeah it was that bad lol. Once i did that i used my handy sander with some 80 grit to get the rest of the old bondo off. Then i put some bondo on the places that needed it most. I think some of the bondo was too old it had been lying around for ages so it didnt stick very well. I ended up taking all that off and just focused on the rear part of the quarter. I started smoothing everything out and used some cheap primer to see where my high and low spots were. Ive pretty much got the back half of the quarter all smoothed out. Im going to get some more bondo tomorrow and do another light coat to fill in all the imperfections. While i was doing this my friend nick decided he was going to sand my bumper down cause it was a mess. So he spent pretty much all afternoon on the front bumper. Im probably going to try and find a new one but for now it will do. Looks alot better than it did before. Heres a link to an album of pics i took today during the process. You can see all the dust from the bondo i took off. It was nasty.
