Tach stopped working

I dunno what happened, but I started my car yesterday when I was going to drive home and I thought the car didnt start cause the tach wasn't working. So I tapped the gas and heard the engine, it was indeed on. The car runs and drives fine, what could cause the tach to just suddenly stop working? Also, when I start the car none of the idiot lights come on except for the battery light, but that goes off right away too.

I remember when i bought my white 93 atx, the tach and gas guage didnt work, all it was, was a fuze if i remember correctly. have you checked any of the fuzes?

It was a fuse lol. I dont even know how I blew it but, oh well. Its fine now. Thanks guys!

Not entirely true. My CID partially died and I could still start the car but had no tach.
