Picking up an -89 in a couple of days (one of less than something like 15 total mk1:s in the whole country)

It's in quite sorry condition, but it's my winter project and i got it for close to nothing .

The right front spindle broke, and someone actually tried to mig it together, so that's an issue. But first and foremost I need to see if I can get the engine running.

Has done about 170k, and has a brand new clutch, but someone played cut-a-spring to lower it and so on, and i haven't really seen the underside good yet....

I guess we'll see if it's worth restoring or if I'll possibly pull any parts for you guys and junk it.

Anyone know any European part sources and any advice on which parts are impossible to find for a noob?

Welcome in!

Pretty much all body pieces and interior pieces are obsolete now. You'll need to look on ebay and in junk yard sites and hope they will ship. All of the important maintenance parts are still available but you need to look around for the best price.

www.SHOSource.com will be a great service to you if you decide to restore it.

Post some pics when you get it.
