I have 22mm sway bars front and rear. Seems to corner well, but am curious if anyone knows of better combinations. I drive street and highway.
Have Tokico struts, police strut supports, Eibach springs, Energy Suspension bushings and front spring isolators - all of which really helped handling!

Dave, are you sure about the 22 mm? I think the '93 typically came w/23mm bars F&R; other years had all sorts of combos, except I don't believe there was a 22 rear ever offered. As far as I know the only 22 fr. was stock on a wagon.

Thanks! I do think they are both 23 mm after all, my measuring device is not the greatest.
Anyway, I am curious about other sizes and their effects.

That chart of testimonials that RI-SHO posted shows the variety of opinion on the subject. Also, different springs/struts will affect the performance of sway bars. My "opinion" would be to keep the 23 front and install a 26 mm rear out of the boneyard, and see how you like it. You can add a larger front later if you like. Of course if you are racing you may want to ignore the above and go with a 24/28 out of the box.

Installing a larger RSB will reduce the understeer tendencies of your car. You can choose either a 24mm, 25mm or 26mm stock Ford RSB from several different Taurus sedan models. The best bet for your car with the noted mods would be either the 3.8L police package 25mm or Gen I SHO 26mm RSB. The 26mm unit is much easier to find, look on eBay or the SHOforum classifieds.

Or you have the option of retaining your stock front sway bar and purchasing the 29mm Rear Sway bar from us. Personally, I like the smaller sway bar up front, larger in the rear.

or the 26mm front and the 28mm rear set up...this does work very well. I like the larger bar in the front personally to keep the car flat.

What bushings do both of you guys recommend for front/rear sway bars? I've been thinking of poly all around with a small groove cut-out to hold the grease and eliminate sweaks.

Simply wrapping teflon tape around your sway bar where it meets the bushing stops the squeek for quite some time, give it a try. If not, White Lithium grease every 6 months is all you should need.

Tom, that's what I did. I wrap the RSB where it passes though the poly mount bushings, with Teflon tape and then added marine grade silicone chassis grease. No squeaks in two summers of use.
