I have a 1993 SHO and want to swap the computer ECM from 1991, does anyone tried it or know if it will work?

Should be ok as long as the car has a manual transmission.
I think the big difference is if any have 'cali' emissions programming and the 'cali' emissions setup. I forget if that's only '89s or all GenI's. The emissions setup are already on your car (GenII). The computer has to be able to run it (or you could delete the egr and plug it up, but you have emiss testing there).

My '92 has an egr setup that is always throwing some kind of code. Is there a way to delete the egr from the ecm so it will quit?

You can swap computers and delete the EGR or use a tuner and delete it. In CA they don't like it if you remove the EGR and wont pass you. I don't know if you have that problem.

I've always heard that B9B1 has a slightly more aggressive ignition timing curve. The knock sensor only does so much on those years.

Because my car started running rough, RPMs dropped, and it sounds like a Subaru. I checked all the cylinders and all of them seem to have a spark, so I decided to try and swap the ECMs, I have a 1991 SHO in my backyard that I am using as a parts car on my 1993 MTX that I drive everyday, so I will not loose anything by swaping the computers, I just want to make sure that the older ECM will not fry any electronics on my 93.

The last MTX computer (X2J) is supposed to have the best programming.
I have swapped several MTX computers back and forth. I used to think that the X2J was the best, but I really think its in my head.:nut:
