How can you tell the difference between the tie rods being shot or the sway bar end links? Also how can you tell if your SFB's are bad?

if your car has the original SFB's on it from 1990 then they are prolly shot. I think tie rods are shot if when jacked up the tire moves in out on the sides (grip at 3 and 9).

If the tie rods are shot, you don't need to jack the car to move the wheel.

The way I see it, if your car is 14 years old, then replace em all. If they're not broken yet, then they're on borrowed time. Netviper has some nice aluminum SFB, as do others, and the end links can be had from an Aerostar cheaply enough, as well as tie-rods.

You're talking about maybe $200 in parts and a well spent Saturday afternoon.

Good luck!
