Remove the fill plug at the front of the transmission and insert your finger. Feel downwards as far as you can.

If you don't hit transmission fluid, there's a pretty good chance you're looking at a diff pin ***********.

Sorry man.

Oil

it looks dark like motor oil, it still drives and shifts, could it be the power steering pump or rack, im gonna really check it out tomorrow as its too dark out right now, but when it happened i shifted into 5th 4th etc no problem, the noise doesnt seem to change whether the clutch is in or not, it got quieter when i slowed down and came to a stop and it doesnt sound like a lower end knock,it does sound like it comes from the tranny and the fluid leaking out is everywhere underneath so its hard to pinpoint right now.

Power steering line? Did you check to see how much fluid was in the reservoir tank?

The good thing about fluids is they are all different and usually look/smell different as well, shouldn't take you too long to determine the leaky fluid and start diagnosing the issue..
