What!? What's wrong with me asking questions? I plan to do Gen3 swap, might as well see what they can offer. By the way, I was thinking about buying your wagon.
Bogdan the gen III swap requires a things few things like relocated motor mounts but the handling improves, oil changes are easier and the bearings don't need to be pressed IIRC. I love mine.
Art, I guess it just reads, meaning what you wrote, can be read like you were calling them out for not offering the gen III swap stuff. :)

I am calling them out, you're right, but not for Gen 3 parts. In every thread that people search for advise from other members, SHOSOURCE is just trying to sell replacement parts. I don't mind but this seems more like marketing strategy. I think that they should've help people not only by trying to sell their replacement parts, but also help to upgrade. And another reason is my personal, from waaaaaaay back.

We, SHO Source, do sell plenty (and I mean plenty) of upgrade parts for the cars. We just do not have the Gen3 subframe upgrade in our current list of parts. We have helped people source the parts needed to do a gen3 upgrade (we have new control arms, ball joints, etc), and we can get rust free core subframes, so let us know what you want to do.

My first question is this: How many people have installed the gen3 subframe in an ATX? I am sure it can be done, but it is not as common as the MTX conversion.

So the gen 3 subframe can only be from a 96-99 SHO and not an LX?

I'm not 100% on it, but from another thread, you don't need SHO subframe. regular 96+ taurus. From SHO you would need steering rack, but I don't know for sure if it's mandatory for a swap.

Ya see this Bogdan, here's a guy (Art) giving you advice and he doesn't know for sure what he's talking about, and he's referencing someone elses thread like that's for sure.
He complains about a seller who's helped TONS of people and then says he doesn't mind, WTF ART if you don't mind then STFU. and let stuff from waaaaaaaay back go, you're sound like a 8th grade girl.
Bogdan If you want real advice contact a member who has done it through *** then you won't be confused by people that think they know what works.
As for the rack in a swap I has NESHO use my original rack, some use the Gen III ZF rack. I don't know if an ATX has been done and that's up to you to research but you have to really decide if this car is worth all the work to convert.

SHOSOURCE is just trying to sell replacement parts.

Dude, what are you smoking ? SHOSource offer tons of replacment , upgrade , and custom parts.

They also don't just push replacement parts in threads, your crazy. All the time they say we have stock and ussally better then stock parts in new threads with people asking where to get parts. Go read a thread on something like struts or brakes , common upgrades. How bout when they offer all the parts/rebuilt parts that arent made by anyone but few junkies like front motor mounts.

Even if they did (which they don't) there are so very few real SHO specific venders even available today, who the **** are you to bust there balls about what they offer to sell. What do you offer the community ?

Seriously you need to open your eyes and stop saying things that are not even close to true about one of the few good parts suppliers , little girl grudge or not.

Glad we could, cough, help, lol, guess you noticed we're a tight group and don't like friends being singled out. Sorry to muck up the thread.

I know I started this thread over a year ago, but I never actually posted what I ended up doing. Anyways, I took my car over to a good friend of mine who owns a service shop and he was able to get me a rust-free gen 2 subframe shipped from Texas with bushings, motor mount, and transmission mount all installed for a total of around $600. I just want to say thanks again to all of you that helped out with advice and information on this topic.
