I am getting ready to do the struts on my 94. I have the service manual and have read the faq page on shotime. I have a question about the pinch bolts. Do they have to be replaced? Are there any other bolts or bushings that have to be replaced during this project? What about the strut bearings, my mechanic friend says they should be replaced at this time. Can they be bought at a local parts store? I have the subwoofer, do I have to remove the back seat to remove the struts? Any other helpful hints would be appreciated.

I would definately do the bearings. They are pretty cheap, and very easy to change whith the struts out.You can get them out thru the trunk,no need to remove the seat or sub woofer.

The manual says never re-use the pinch bolts. In front I'd replace the bearing/plate (unit), the dust boot unit, spring isolator (bottom of spring). Rear, upper strut mount, dust boot. The big question is are you getting the Koni's? If so then I'd sand down the "old" struts and re-paint. I actually buy new aftermarkt and cut them to put in koni's. I also sand the springs,re paint. Eibach's are a good choice if you can afford them.
