Hey all, does anyone know a manufacturer that makes strut mounts with long studs, or can anyone suggest a solution to that end?

I have a FTSB, and would like something with longer studs so that I can have more than a few turns keeping things together.

Been a long time since I had my GenI. Can you still get them from Ford? Those were useable back when I had my fstb

Do you still have your strut plates on top of the towers? I removed mine completely when I drilled them out.

I tried removing the plates... there was rubbing and squeaking. Back in they went.

I think he was talking about the top plates the ones that were or are welded on the towers. I removed mine before I installed the STB as well.

Oh, thought he meant the spacer plates.

Those top plates are long gone.

I've found OE Ford mounts to always have the longest studs. Check with Josh, I think he figured out which OE mounts would work without the spacers.
