do they make, or did they make a 6.5" stock speaker mount instead of the 5.25?

6.5's don't fit in my doors, 5.25's do though...

maybe I just need to ask if anyone has some of the mounts for sale so I can throw a 6.5 in there because it's depressing

odd considering a woofer or midrange is a standard speaker.... are you referring to a coaxial? because that's also the same size, 6.5"

I put a 5.25 in... it fits great.

I was just demonstrating the size of speaker to the mount.... it's hard to see but the supports going from the cone to the magnet is what the mount is sitting on

what model number speaker is it? i've got a set of Boston Pro SL-60 6.5" components in my doors, and aside from having to drill new holes, they fit perfectly in the stock mounting bracket.

They're probably not a brand you would know, but they're Gonzo.

the coaxials that were previously in them were Pyramid(eww) 5.25 and those fit very nicely so I'm not sure how 6.5's would of any sort

You have gen 1 speaker mounts, you need gen 2 mounts to make them fit. Since your car is a 92, Ford was still using parts from the gen 1 parts bin.
