I still have a strange lean spot around 3-4.5k RPMs. As soon as I hit it, I get rasp, and a sudden lack of power. So far I have swapped my MAF for a known good unit, disconnected it, increased TPS voltage slightly, cleaned the ACT sensor. The car supposedly has a new ECT. O2's are brand new. Car does warm up quickly, and stay cool (perhaps a different t-stat was put in?). No codes either, besides 2 about power steering (probably the X2J is looking for VAPS).
Any thoughts? This flat spot is really beginning to annoy me! Thanks again.
Edit: A friend suggested that I may be running rich, as an ECSHOC member noticed black smoke pouring from my exhaust at WOT (more than normal amounts). In this case, the rasp would be a result of my "quality"
exhaust (Thrush Turbo muffler, and cheaply bent single exhaust catback).
