OK, after the engine swap, I found that the car is making the new engine smoke out the tailpipes like the old motor used to. This leads me to believe that there is a bad sensor somewhere and that I need to have it replaced.

I replaced the MAP and MAF from my '92 to my '93 with no luck.

The secondaries are non functional and I was wondering if this may be the problem. If they are stuck either open or closed would this be a problem?

I used the whole intake assembly from the bad motor which I will try swapping with the other intake to see if this helps. The DIS maybe?

What about the y-pipe and O2's? would this cause a problem?

What about the main computer? Do these ever fail?

I am at a loss here.

Did you replace the valve seals on the new motor. Those might be allowing oil to leak onto the pistons causing the excess smoke coming out of the exhaust. Also get the secondaries working properly, and check the codes instead of replacing random sensors. Good luck.

This motor DID NOT DO THIS in the other car. It seems to be an oil problem because it has burnt a lot of oil. Could it be a vacuum problem? What about that hose that leads from the valve covers to the throttle body?

What about the headgaskets? Could these be blown? A friend of mine suggests that.

HELP!!!
