Yesterday I finally installed my Y-pipe after almost a month of sitting in my garage and decided to see how much damage I could do tonight. Well, I raced a modified Sentra V-Spec and a CL type-S w/ exhaust and won both races. I was really impressed with my the power increase and the nice sound it added.
I was on my way home for the night when I hit a light, I started to accelerate again the engine started bogging at about 2k RPM's, almost like the fuel was being cut off but at a constant speed it would be fine and when I would floor it there are no problems, its only under normal driving conditions.
. It happens through all 5 gears at the same rpm it would start happening, engine temp was in the dead center, oil pressure was good, and I had a 1/2 a tank of gas. So I turn off the next exit and check my oil, air filter (making sure it wasn't clogged), and ran through a couple other things, then got $5 worth of gas and waited about 10min. Started it back up and everything seemed good so headed home again. I hit another light about 5min later and started to go again when it happened again, only not as bad.
Anyone have a clue as to what could be wrong? I have new plugs, air filter, o2 sensor, oil changed, and a radiator flush all within the last 250 miles.

You might want to check the fuel pressure. It sounds like your engine may not be getting enough fuel when the pressure evens out. Autozone and Sears sell fuel pressure guages. I believe the pressure should be about 39psi at idle. Also, check your engine codes. There are numerous posts about it, just do a search.

Where in VA are you? Those Acura Type-S's really stand for Sucks. I can beat them all. As for the Nissans, the new Altima 3.5SE manual sounds like a formidible opponent.

I live in Nothern VA and go to Rockville almost everyweekend to see my mother.
I'll stop by auto zone today and pick up a gauge.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

My '97 did that it was the fuel filter. I had changed it a month before but it only takes one tank of bad gas to **** the filter.

lb-sho- It actually stops right before the secondarys open.
I took it for alil spin to the mall this mornin and it had no problems until about 20min into the ride it started to happen again. It only happens when i give like 50-75% throttle, below that and above that it seems fine.
SHOZ123- That's not a bad idea, when i stop by autozone i'll pick one up as well.
Any other thoughts?

Has anyone ever raced a Ford Probe Gt? My friend has one and thinks it will smoke my SHO.

Have you check any stored codes?

SHO--ripper watch the race of my SHO vs a 94 MTX Probe GT :D , I had just had I/E for mods, full stereo in trunk, and nice light wink 18" rims.

You have that correct. The atx is a romping stomper also. I like the G35 too.

I really don't think that the S stands for sucks. C&D was getting 14.6-14.7@96-98mph for the 1/4 mile on those cars.

I replaced the fuel filter and I took it out last night and performance isn't lagging but the bogging problem is still there. I took a GTI on 16lbs of boost, integra GSR w/ I/H/E then lost to a modified Eclipse GSX.
Fuel pressure is good too. Anyone else?

Ohh do they huh? How many auto's out there can run 14.6-14.9 stock on dinky/cheap 215/50/17 Michilens?

Just curious what mods do you have in your SHO? Because I know in my TL-S in full auto it wont rev past 5000RPM on average and especially with traction control on(VSA). Even with full auto I have been able to beat many cars out there(within my class) to 90-100MPH nothing past that yet till my 2nd oil change :D (6000miles). Then at 9000miles VSA comes off in my Ack burn_out , gotta love an automatic that can rip 2nd gear at 6800RPM with sportshifts all stock :) .

Once the SHO is running how I want it to run for the rest of this year, i'll defitnaly have my bro drive it and his bud record the 0-130MPH race with my SHO and my TL-S.
