squealing in rear speakers

rear speakers squeal when the engine is running and when I bring up the RPM's it get louder....

i think it is interference from the alternater... but i have no clue please help!!!

thanks n advance

is there somthing i can do to stop the squealing??

It's called RFI: Radio Frequency Interference. It can be caused by the alternator but most likely it's your ignition system. If you are using an after market Amplifier, you might be stuck with at least SOME RFI. There are ways to minimize it but you will have to search. Most people say to make sure you have a good (short in length)ground and that your power wires are not running along side the signal wires(RCAs).

If you want to be sure it's your alternator, disconnect the wires to the alternator, start the car and see if the sound changes or goes away. If it IS your alternator, you can buy a new one but dont expect it to be a "silent" alternator.
