Pardon, if this topic has been beaten before......

But where/what coil springs/struts are good for the 93 Sho. I don't have any interest in lowering the car as it sits too low already. I actually would like the rear to sit slightly higher than original parts.

Just a fun-fact, but if your existing springs are saggy, you may actually raise your car with 'lowering' springs.

Go with the Napa or even stockers, depending on the prices you can get.

I went to a NAPA store and the Moog Cargo Springs didn't have this part specific for the Sho. Which springs will work on the 93 Sho ATX. I was planning the Moog springs/KYB GR2 combo also.

.......and the lowering springs probably will raise my car slighty as it seems to be sagging bigtime.

Did you run into any problems installing this combo on that one rear wheel? Let me know the details.

Thanks,

Did you click the link above? It's a Taurus part, and the SHO is still a Taurus. Bring that p/n with you when you go back to NAPA.

Having trouble getting onto the Napaonline.com website. But I gather that the Cargo Springs for the Taurus Wagon (1993?) are the springs I need?

No, no, no. The springs for a regular Taurus are the same ones that you need. I finished installing them last night.

On my car, which is an '89, the rear wheel lip is about 25" off the ground(with 225/55/16" tires).

I also measured from the highest lug nut( picture the 5-star pattern the lugs make). From the center of the highest lug nut, the lip is about 10.5". This info is only helpful to the GenI owners, as the wheel wells are different for the GenII.
I will get the part number for you.

HERE IS THE PROPER PART NUMBER FOR THE NAPA SPRINGS: NCP2775216

Rides much better than it did before...of course my struts were shot and my springs were broken at the bottom coils...
Seems a bit stiff to me so far, but rides really good. I have the KYB GR2 struts .

I recommend them if you need new springs.

I replaced the upper mounts, the rubber cushion on the bottom, sway-bar end links, and all of the tension strut rod bushings.
I think all of the bushings and mounts cost me more than the actual springs and struts frown
