Spoiler?

I am thinking about raising mine about 3 inches and adding a slight angle........ any comments?

i think a slight rise would look decent not a 6 inch lol... also makes cleaning under it a LOT easier...

It will look like crap. The stock spoiler isn't flat/smooth on the bottom, it's full of recesses. It was designed to sit on the trunk lid where nobody would see the bottom. If you raise it without filling in the underside somehow, it's not gonna look very nice. Plus you will have to find a way to extend and hide the 3rd brake light wiring.

And on top of that, it will probably obscure your view out the back quite a bit. Not a good idea, in my opinion.

at first i didnt like the one on the 95 cause i was so use to the 92 but it looks as good as its gonna get and ive learnd to except it.. leave it alone please

The spoiler, the way it is now, hides the nicest feature of the trunk lid..... that little bevel that runs across the top of the lid.
I think raising the spoiler enough to see that bevel would be a good idea.
I would leave the angle as it is, unless you hit on something that looks great.

The stock spoiler has a habit of occationally flying away where it is, if I remember correctly, think raising it and giving air a clear way under it might make it try and take flight all the sooner.

I have seen 1982-1986ish firebird raised spoiler on SHO, however it look more home on Gen I. Not too sure if it wud look as good on Gen II.

Please leave the spoiler alone, it looks good right where it came from the factory..
