I'm in the process of changing my speedometer cable... Anyone have any tips on removing the connectors on the rear of the dash? I can't really see behind the cluster so if anyone has any pics that would be appreciated.

Also, I do have the cable lubricant, what part of the cable do I ****?

TIA!

To remove the cable you may have to remove the cluster and get your hand behind there then squeeze the clip then pull it off the speedo head. Put the **** on the inner piece of the cable so that its completely covered. I removed whole wire when I did mine.
You may want to tie a string on the cable under the hood and then pull it to the inside of the car. Then untie the string from the old cable then tie on the new one and then a combination of pulling the string and feeding the cable through the firewall to install the new one. Two people may be much easier.

Alright, thanks for the response, I got the cable out. The replacement i got from rockauto seems WAY too short. I'm going to try and re-**** my old cable.
