umm. engrish?

why did you move the speaker from the factory location? things mounted where they belong make for a much nicer install. IMHO everything should fit and look as though it was factory.

as for the amp/sub. i like it. i had an install done like that on St Louis SHO's Plus. i prefer the amp to be tucked away but nice none-the-less

very unique panel! it stands out a little to much for my taste, but if your happy than... i prefer the look of the Q form kick panels but what you did is a lot more original. sub looks great. i also prefer the look of a clean installed amp. no wire to see all tucked in ect.

He says Moscow and those are definitely foreign plates.

That location will give you much better staging, allow for custom brackets that will fit any speaker and be much more solid. Rattling and buzzing door panels are pretty annoying. Ask me how I know.

RacerSHO, what speakers are you using? I'd also like to see some better pictures showing how you made them and how they are mounted.

how is that better staging?

you putting the mids farther away from the ears, yet the tweeters are closer.

Mids arent spose to be close to your ears, they are spose to be as close to the same distance from your ear as possible, this negates the need for time alignment adjustments that a mojority of the runothemill HU's dont have.

Moving the mid farther down in the doors, not only makes the left and right a more similar distance from your head, it also gives you the opportunity to properly aim them.

Additionally the placement of the stock speaker location has your mids playing aimed at your dash.

ALSO, moving the woofer in the component system into that lower position frees up the stock position for a mid in a 3 peice component set.

Rock on with the mod, only person I've yet seen do that with the SHO door panel. Build quality looks decent on it, sure it could probably look nicer, but I'm damn jealous regaurdless.

EDIT: If that is where your woofer is, and your tweeter is in near the side mirror, where are your mids?

i might be looking at it wrong,

if he has a mid in the factory location and the tweeter about the same distance then cool mod.

i was thinking he moved the mid from the component set lower in the door.

Focal was a great choice. Wish I had the $$$ to buy some Focal equipment. I think I'm just going to do a newer JBL setup. Nice work!!!
